These renderings are very much a team effort. The
most challenging thing about doing architectural
rendering is that each piece has to accurately make the new design
come to life in the mind of the client who may
or may not be a visual thinker. Depending on
the particular skills and style of the project
team members, the drawings and photos I get from them can be fairly
diverse. My
job is to combine all the bits and pieces to
produce an image that will both communicate and sell the idea.
The imagery has to make the presenter's job
easy. So the outcome of each rendering is not only dependent
upon the original pieces I receive from the
team, it is also driven by the style of
the design principal and project manager who will be presenting
the project. Part art and part psychology. |
